AIANY Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is an elected body that submits the elective slate to the Board of Directors and the membership for vote at the Annual Meeting held each June. It also acts in an advisory capacity in the development of the Center for Architecture Board of Trustees nomination slate. The committee includes five (5) members, four (4) are elected by the chapter members.  The fifth is the Immediate Past President.

2018 NOMINATING COMMITTEE ELECTION

Election begins:
Wednesday, October 4th, 2017, 9 am EST

Election ends:
Wednesday, October 18th, 2017, 5 pm EST

Process:

All active assigned members (Architects, Associates, International Associates) received voting credentials via email on Wednesday, October 4th, if your membership was active as of Monday, September 25th, look for the email to access the online voting system. If you did not receive your credentials or have difficulty with the voting system, please contact Joseph Corbin for assistance.

The Nominating Committee is an elected body that submits the elective slate to the Board of Directors and the membership for vote at the Annual Meeting held each June.

The AIA New York Chapter Nominating Committee accepts recommendations and self-referrals for Chapter service through its Board and elective committees for terms starting in the following calendar year.

Service with the Chapter helps to shape the programming, initiatives, and message of the AIA New York Chapter. The Board meets monthly, with supplemental meetings and event commitments dependent on the position to which an individual is elected. 

Elective committees usually meet monthly throughout the year, though the Fellows and Honors Committees have intensive meetings leading up to the Annual Meeting. Each candidate should consider their schedule and availability carefully when applying.

Recommendations should include:
1. Cover letter indicating areas of interest for service
2. Brief one-page resume
3. Complete contact information: name, address, email, telephone
